Welcome to our little slice of sweetness! The heart and soul of every treat you see here is Irene, our incredible baker and in my opinion the coolest mom around.
Irene's baking journey truly began during the quiet months of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the unexpected gift of free time, she started experimenting in the kitchen. But as she baked, she noticed something was missing: a local, dedicated source for the authentic, comforting flavors of her Filipino heritage.
Driven by a passion to fill that gap, Irene took it upon herself to master those beloved Filipino treats. She spent countless hours sourcing the perfect ingredients and relentlessly testing recipes, from the rich earthiness of Ube to the subtle sweetness of a classic Pandesal, until she achieved that moment of "perfect."
Beyond the Kitchen
When Irene isn't baking, she’s juggling a few other favorite roles. She’s the proud mom of three amazing kids, though maybe she will happily admit that her favorite is probably the one who made this website (Akos).
To balance out all the taste-testing, Irene stays busy by getting her exercise in, hunting for treasures at the nearest thrift store, and, yes, still making time to party!
