A traditional Filipino chiffon or sponge cake made with the distinct flavor of purple yam (ube). The cake is incredibly moist and tender, featuring a beautiful, vivid lavender hue. It's often layered and frosted with a rich buttercream or cream cheese-based icing.

Isang tradisyonal na Filipino chiffon o sponge cake na ginawa gamit ang natatanging lasa ng ube (purple yam). Ang cake ay napaka-moist at malambot, na may magandang, matingkad na kulay-lavender. Karaniwan itong nilalagyan ng rich buttercream o cream cheese-based icing.
